I’m always looking for new ways to connect with my fans and recently decided to run a Fan Art Competition via my Facebook page. As part of the competition, I requested drawings, paintings and digital art submissions. And I’m pleased to report that I received quite a few outstanding pieces of art that vary in style dramatically.

I mean who wouldn’t like such creative portraits of themselves?

  1. Best Fan Art

  2. Best Fan Art Runner Up

  3. Worst Fan Art

After much deliberation, I finally picked Summer Dale as the winner with this beautiful mermaid creation below. I love mermaids and it’s one of my ambitions to do a mermaid inspired photo shoot one day!

In second place, I chose Sketchie-Gambit with this beautiful play on my bunny image by Paulina Czochra. Shawn tells me that my image reminded him of the Cadbury’s Easter bunny advert, which subsequently inspired this creative piece of artwork.

In addition to first and second place I included a third winning option “Worst Fan Art”, just for fun. Appropriately won by Toby with this rather scary looking stick figure of me (bottom left)! The middle black and white sketch was created by James Walker and inspired by one of my Elvgren recreations.

Winners received store credit and everyone who has entered will receive a free 7x5” signed print. Here are the other competition submissions that caught my attention.

I love Jorge’s interpretation of one of my recent behind the scenes selfies (above). This is definitely one of my new favourites!

Mario’s artwork (below right) is just adorable. This isn’t the first time Mario has created fan art featuring myself.

Paul has created so many beautiful digital reproductions of my images, notably the nose art featured below.

Mark Summer’s recreation of my newest bikini image with Paulina Czochra (bottom right) is so detailed and beautiful. I’m sure you can see how difficult the decision was to pick a winner!

Jim Spain’s piece called ’Medusa’ (above left) is a recreation of my Elvgren inspired boudoir photograph by DollHouse Photography. I love how he’s spiced it up with a giant snake instead of my black robe!

Fan art will always appeal to my narcissistic nature! With this in mind, I’ll never tire of seeing what new and creative pieces my fans come up with. I’d love to say a big thank you to everyone who entered and congratulations to the winners.

Lastly, not included in the competition, but equally as talented, is this image by Markus Buss - it's just totally adorable!

I will be continue to add new fan artwork to my muse gallery, so be sure to check it out.

Which one did you think was the best? Let me know in the comments below :)

Heather xoxo
